Loma has provided onsite counseling and coaching in the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates since 2013. She has helped hundreds of people work through personal conflicts by offering healing solutions which transform a client’s life and mind.
Loma draws on her own experiences of healing and awakening as well as a decade of integrative study, practice and teaching of transformational psychotherapies, life coaching, and facilitating individuals, couples and families towards a path of compassionate, conscious connection. She is passionate about integrating the paradigms and practices of modern neuroscience, Western relational psychology and Eastern contemplative practice.
Brought up in England, Loma has lived and worked in the U.S., U.K., Europe and United Arab Emirates over the past 22 years. She became interested in therapy while working as a lawyer, undertaking legal cases while not feeling fulfilled and decided to pursue her passion for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Loma has provided counselling and coaching in a combination of clinical and private practice settings including inpatient addiction treatment facilities and outpatient hospital settings. She has helped many people find compassionate connection to the source of their problems and supported them as they courageously made the journey through the minefield of self- awareness through to the open plains of positive change.
Loma completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology at Sofia University, Palo Alto, California, U.S.A. Since graduating she has immersed herself in further study in: somatic therapy such as Sensorimotor Therapy; and EMDR for the treatment of PTSD and other forms of trauma. Currently she is studying for a part time PhD at the Department of Psychology, University of Leeds.
Her therapeutic technique is integrative which means she uses a combination of different modalities to assist her clients and honour the uniqueness of each individual’s case. These include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Positive Psychology, Existential Psychology, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Mindfulness Techniques, Art Therapy and Family Systems Therapy and others.
Loma is married with two school age children. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, she was a commercial lawyer in the City of London. Loma’s unique background gives her the insight into the tightrope of managing a relationship, family life and career.
Loma is a licensed therapist (MBACP Reg. No 13931) registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.
